Gym Uniforms:
Girls and boys wear the same gym uniforms. These uniforms are available for sale at school during the first weeks of September.
T.A.G. Days:
T.A.G. days are those days when our students may choose to wear clothing other than the school uniform. Of course, the clothing must be appropriate for the school day. T.A.G. days are noted monthly on the school calendar.
N.U.T. Cards:
No Uniform Today cards entitle a student to dress more casually on the day they choose to redeem their card. Some ways students earn N.U.T. cards are through collecting Boxtops for Education, being recognized as "Student of the Month", and through other helpful deeds during the school year.
Early Dismissal Days:
Periodically throughout the school year, there are early dismissal days noted on your school calendar. These days are necessary in order to provide our teachers with the development tools required to make your child's education the best it can be.
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Parents meet with their child's teachers in early December and March to review the student's progress and report card. Teachers are available upon request for parent meetings throughout the school yar as well. Do not hesitate to keep the lines of communication open.
Family Events:
Be sure to review your monthly calendar for fun family events throughout the school year. Here is a listing of some of the events you may want to take part of:Poetry Days, Book Fairs, Octoberfest, Candy Drive , May Fair, Christmas Wrap/Gift Drive, Holiday Parties and Presentations, Catholic School Week Open House, Family Mass at Sacred Heart Church
Peace Sharing:
Throughout the school year, our students work together to help others in the community. St. John students have worked together in supporting: Food pantries, Elder care facilities, children's toy drives, clothing drives, homeless shelters
The Annual Appeal:
Each year St. John School solicits charitable contributions from parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends throughout the community through our Annual Appeal.
Welcome to the St. John Community
