Dear Families of St. John School:
The Office of Advancement has many responsibilities. However, the two major goals of this office are to work on the future institutional advancement and future financial growth of St. John School.
As we start each new year at St. John School, two major fund raising events are:
· The Annual Fund Appeal
· St. John’s Annual Dinner and Auction (2012 – Spring Soiree’ to Benefit The SJS Education Fund)
The Annual Fund Appeal
The appeal begins in October and ends June 30th of each year. Our divisions are: alumni, parents of alumni, school parents, grandparents, parishioners, businesses, friends of St. John’s, and societies. Our goal is to have 100% support from each division. This annual appeal helps us make a difference meeting new challenges with educational enrichment, and establishing an endowment fund. As we work towards getting 100% support from all of our divisions, it will make a difference as we pursue corporate and major donors.
St. John’s Spring Soiree’
This major fundraising event is held every spring. The proceeds from this annual event work towards new specific goals each year. Everyone’s support is vital to this major, annual fundraising event. We welcome our alumni, parents of alumni, school parents, friend’s of St. Johns, parishioners, and businesses, to support and join us at this yearly, fun filled, exciting event.
The office of advancement is assisted by the St. John School Development Board. There are various committees under the Development Board which help with the future institutional advancement and future financial growth of St. John School. They are:
· The Annual Fund Appeal
· The autumn event at the Fairmont “Make a Difference”
· Major Marketing
· Yearly marketing calendar “St. John School In The News”
· 2012 St. John School Dinner and Auction
· New “green light” school data base program for all major events, annual appeal, alumni relations and more.
Parents/Guardians will have the opportunity to sign up for the Development Board and various committees’ on a yearly basis.
