Now more than ever, Catholic Schools Week is a time to celebrate the enduring value of Catholic education. Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is the annual observance of the important role that Catholic elementary and secondary schools play in educating and instilling in students the faith, knowledge, morals and discipline that will enable them to fulfill their future roles as committed citizens, productive employees and effective leaders. CSW also observes the high standards of excellence and the quality of education available in the U.S. Catholic elementary and secondary schools to ALL students regardless of race, creed, color, or gender.
We invite you to participate in our week-long observance. We believe in each student’s potential – to learn, to grow in virtue and wisdom, to become valued and outstanding members of their church, community, and nation. Come and witness the miracles occurring daily at St. John School, in the excitement on the faces of children learning new technology, in the delight of 4, 5, and 6 year olds from scattered neighborhoods making new friends, in the joy and trust shared by pastor, principal, teachers, and students united in liturgy. There is a new beginning everyday in our school. We invite you to celebrate each new day during Catholic Schools Week starting with a special liturgy on Monday, January 30 at 8:15 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Teachers, parents and students will participate in this liturgy. A special invitation is extended to all alumni of St. John School, St Anthony’s, St. Mary’s, and all community friends. New Student Registration for the school year 2012-2013 is ongoing. St. John School maintains a certificate of accreditation from the New England Association of schools and colleges.
