Dear St. John School families,
We began the month of November celebrating the saints whose lives we try to emulate. We celebrated All Saints Day on November 1st. We remember and pray for our own deceased relatives and friends.
The days are cold and dark, but there is constant light within our school. We can see the constant visible sign of our Catholic Identity within our students and teachers; knowing that they are pioneers in education. It is in our school that we learn that a Catholic Education brings JOY to all we do in our life. It is here we learn to think outside the box and go beyond what is expected.
We hope that you will visit the school web site, and that you will leave with a better understanding of the educational and spiritual growth opportunities that are provided for the children who attend our school. It is our hope that you will come to see us in person.
At the end of the month we begin the Season of Advent when the new responses to the Mass will change slightly to reflect more closely to the Latin translation.
The faculty is busy with Curriculum Mapping, an online program which teachers utilize to create their units and daily plans. Right now, teachers are creating plans online which will help to insure there are no gaps in the curriculum. Teachers in the Boston area Catholic schools are now able to share their plans with each other via the internet.
This year we are be posting more forms and information on the web site for your convenience. The monthly and annual calendars are posted on our website. We will continue to send home the monthly calendar and forms that require completion.
Enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving Day!
