Dear Families:
This month in Grade two we are excited about receiving First Holy Reconciliation. We have been practicing going to confession and are eager to speak to Jesus and tell him our sins. We look forward to sharing this day with our parents. We hope you like our special song!
In reading we will be starting our fourth theme on Animal Adventures. We enjoyed meeting Ricky in Big Bushy Mustache and Jamaica Louise James and hearing about her BIG ideas. What BIG ideas do you have???
In math we are in full swing with regrouping. We are subtracting and adding two digit numbers with and without regrouping. We are trying our best to learn when it’s time to regroup and when it’s not time. We are also working on problem solving - two step problems. At the end of this month we also hope to look at learning some multiplication.
In writing we are continuing to extend our sentences – making them more interesting and detailed. We also look forward to learning about Friendly Letters with Mrs. G and writing them to many people!
In social studies we are in the midst of completing our unit about dinosaurs. We are looking forward to doing our presentation about dinosaurs on the 16th from 8:45 am to 10:00 am. Parents are welcome. After vacation we will to start a new unit on the rainforest with Ms. Emily. How exciting!
